Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition with 1018HP

There’s a new challenger packing the potential to topple Buggati’s Veyron as the world’s fastest car in the form of Koenigsegg’s new CCXR supercar. Details were first released about it back in March and now we have official renderings of the final production version.

As previously reported, the CCXR will be sporting a cast-aluminum V8 engine capable of running on biofuel. The burning of ethanol in biofuel has the positive side effect of cooling the combustion chambers. This combined with a higher octane rating provides the enviro-friendly supercar with 1,018hp at 7,200rpm and peak torque of 1,060Nm at 6,100rpm
The 4.7L engine features a four-valve double overhead cam design with a compression ratio of 8.2:1 and a sequential multipoint fuel injection. Twin Rotrex centrifugal superchargers provide up to 1.5 bar boost pressure. The combined highway/city fuel cycle stands at 10.7mpg (22L/100km).
Accelerating from 0-100km/h takes approximately 2.9 seconds and the top speed is claimed to be above 400km/h. We can’t wait to see some official times, and, if you must know, the price tag is around the €1.5 million mark.

same here, saw it on AOTS last night and was like whoa, its sexy (just like all the other koenseggs) but sad that it's that environmentally friendly and still getting 10mpg lol, makes me wonder what the bougatti gets.

The fastest speeding ticket in the world allegedly occurred in May 2003 in Texas. It was supposedly 242mph in a 75mph zone. The car was a Swedish-built Koenigsegg, which was involved in the San Francisco to Miami Gumball 3000 Rally.[2]

thats not even the top speed of the koenigsegg, isnt it like 250 or 248? this edition should be able to reach at least 260mph

I think it already beat the veyron in top speed also. I remember hearing something about how audi wouldnt let them use their track (the fastest track worldwide) so they had to test it somewhere else where they never got to its top speed.
