Thats right folks, and you thought 255 was fast. For some of you out there, the name Vector brings to mind a low slung, super fast, wedge shaped monster that sadly died out before it had a chance at stardom.

Well, it is the 21st Century, and Vector wants to make a statement with the WX8.Before your eyes, you see a prototype version of a car that will be very much real. It might evoke some Japanese thoughts, or perhaps a batmobile. All in all, it makes you take a step back, especially afrer looking at the stats.

Standard Twin turbo V8 power: 600 bhp
Upgraded single Supercharger V8 power: 750 bhp
Shocking twin supercharger V8 power: 1850 bhp

To keep things interesting I will give the performance stats for the twin super: (mfg est.)

0-60: 2.5 seconds
1/4 mile: 10 seconds
Top Speed: 275+mph
Top Speed (Bonneville Gears): 300 mph

This is Vector, and they could be crazy enough to do it. No pricing or production announced, but the claim that it will be done. Sure it could be all flash and bang, but wouldn't it be something.

Out of all the Vector cars I think the WX3 was my favorite. I had a 1/18th scale model of it growing up and still to this day think its one of the most unique-looking cars on the road.

I've heard of the company before, but a quick search shows that the company seems sketchy and never has made a vast number of cars. They are pretty slick looking though.

I thought I remembered reading this, but it could've been about someone else... That the guy who made Vector cars was afraid of flying, so he wanted to make a car that could travel as fast as a plain... thus the Vector cars were born?

humm, how can 1800 bhp only get you a 10 second 1/4 mile? Cars are normally in the 9's with nearly 1/2 the horsepower.

I'd love to hear what tire manufacturer is going to bear the burden of making a tire that can handle 300mph. I heard the Veyron's tires were a pain to develop.

LMAO, Vector = Vapor. If anyone saw that POS in person in LA, they are all talk and have nothing to back it up. Hell, I wouldn't trust the prototype to anything more than 35mph at this point, and even then I wouldn't call it remotely safe to drive.

Guys, anyone can put a press release saying that a car is going to do this and that and the other. The truth is until it actually does it, they are full of it. There is a reason the Veyron took 7 years and countless billions to develop.
