Viper ACR Returns

AutoWeek may have broken the story on the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR, but we're now allowed to bring you the full gamut of pics and info straight from the horse's mouth. As Drew mentioned earlier, we haven't had an ACR version of the Viper since 1999, so the return of Dodge's street-legal track car is significant news. The ACR is built around the standard Viper's stout 8.4L aluminum V10 that remains essentially unchanged – not that a 600-hp, 560 lb-ft motor needs much improvement. Instead, Dodge focused on other areas of the car to transform the Viper into a run-what-you-brung bonafide track special racer.

jesus christ, i shat myself. I read about 1100HP twin turbo hennesey viper, it beat the veyron, porche 911 GT3 i think, lingenfelter Zo6, lambo, and the SLR in the 0-200MPH drag, 100-200mph, and reached 200mp the quickest in the shortest distance too. Hennesey had to make a custom turbo controller that controls how much boost at certain speeds to keep it from burning out in every single gear. That car is just amazing, it was a GTS style viper

The wing is way to big. It doesn't really show, but in some of the other pictures that wing just looks bad.

Check what you are saying there... yes it may have done that but just barely. That was a very well written article that showed a lot of "super cars" really aren't that super. Take a look at the GT3, half the horsepower of most of the cars in the field and it was still kicking some ass. I have to say it was kinda funny watching the Corvette getting its ass handed to it.
