Lexus isn't about to get left out of the Tokyo party later this month, and has announced that it will be bringing its LF-Xh concept out to play. The concept combines a couple arenas for Lexus, blending the upscale elegance of its LS series with a hybrid drivetrain - nothing new, except that this is an SUV, not a sedan. The LF-Xh uses the Lexus Hybrid Drive system - a combination of a high-output electric motor and a V6 gasoline engine - which will power all four wheels.

The LF-Xh's styling seems to be relatively similar to Lexus' current crop of SUVs, if not a bit more chiseled, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It sounds as if the concept could signal what could be the first production ultra-luxury hybrid SUV. Imagine the Lexus LS 600h L in sport 'ute form. In any case, this vehicle may be closer to production than the other concept Lexus is bringing to the show, the already-debuted LF-A sports car.
