I'm liking this one. They should bring this one over to compete with VW.

I like it. Is this a trim level of the new saturn hatch that is alreay coming out? If not then I doubt it will make it over here...

i think that would be a good competition for the yaris and fit, (considering we get a watered down version) but even at that i think we won't get it, we don't get the good looking cars here

Already been approved by GM. Corsa will come to the U.S. as a Saturn. It will be Saturn's subcompact model. It will be a 2009 model with sales starting this time next year.
Now will there be a VXR turbo model? That's anyone's guess.

It's nice, especially considering it's packing almost 200hp. In terms of best in its class, Tiff Needell thought the Renault Clio 197 was better. The Renault was faster around a track, too.
Considering the Cobalt SS, HHR SS, and a couple other vehicles will be getting a 260hp 2L Ecotec, I think there'd be room for a top of the range Corsa with the 200hp 1.6L Ecotec. The Corsa would certainly be a nice Mini-killer.

its a nice hatch, they should bring it to the states exactly how it is. no watered down non-turbo AT bullshit.

I love it. I would buy this car as soon as I got off work if it were on the lot today. Fuck the interior... I'm going to ruin it in a month anyway.
But as I've said before - car companies seem to be incapable of bringing cars like this to the states. Maybe they're afraid the might actually sell worth a damned and threaten SUV sales for once.
GM: "OMG! We're killing in the sub compact market! FTW, we have monies!"
Oil companies: "Bitches, you ruined our plan! No one iz buying the Humzer H4!!!! Now it doesn't matter how high we raise the price of dead dinosaurs!!!!!!!!!!!!! FTL! You phail."
GM: "O Noez!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ok... I take what I said back... kind of. I came across an ad on gamespot.com for this, the Astra:
http://carsmedia.ign.com/cars/image/article/761/761679/astra-is-coming-20070206031316295.jpg
The Astra is slated to go head-to-head with vehicles like the Civic and Mazda3. Tuners - especially those that are regular readers of the British tuning mag Redline - will likely be all over Saturn's hatch. This car offers a 1.8-liter 140 horsepower inline four, four-wheel disc brakes, ABS and StabiliTrak as standard equipment. The three-door Astra will come with standard 17-inch wheels; 18-inchers are optional. This same three-door Astra will also come in only one trim level: the sporty XR.
Here is an article from IGN:

Not the exact same car but definitely a step in the right direction for GM.
