Hey i just painted my friends rims gloss black on his black 240sx. Looks good and hes saving right now for the s13 engine. Just go to auto zone and ask some one which paint will work and they should know. You need 1 can of primer/sealer, 2 cans of paint, and 2 or 3 cans of clear coat. You need some 600 grit wetordry sand paper. Oh and we did paint the inside so we used 40 grit sand paper to get the little ridges as smooth as we could. Oh and make sure you paint the back of the rims before the front cause the spray will go through the rim a lil and its better to have "damage" to the back than the front. Take your time and lay the rims flat cause if you apply the paint too thick and stand them up they will run. Its really pretty simple jsut take your time cuase it takes a long ass time to do it right.

we had heat lamps and it still takes about 20 mins in between all the coats of everything, we didnt take his rims off but you can buy cheap painters masking tape and leave the rims on and that should do the trick (its usually green and it is flexible the stores if they dont know what there talking about will try to sell you the regualr masking tape which is that creme color, just ask if its flexible)
