2009 GT-R Specs.

The VR38 is based off of the VR35HL, 3.5L twin turbo V8 from Nisan's R390 Group C race car that competed at Le Mans. The director of the R390 program made some major contributions to the production of the 2009 GT-R in the areas of development and design theory. Basically the GT-R will be developed as a road-going car for the public as opposed to a race car made available to the public.

This information was translated from Holiday Magazine on 7tune. The chart compares the GT-R with the 911 Turbo and has the GT-R listed as weight over 3800 lbs. The exact weight of the GT-R is 1750 kg or 3858 lbs. - HEAVY! :gonk:

I saw one yesterday at Nismo Omori Factory, they are working on it for the Tokyo Motor Show in October, they are working on an S-Tune concept which might debut at TAS 08. The security was quite rediculous. That thing is nice, but judging by the numbers on this thread (and if they are accurate), its much heavier than i expected. Makes me wonder how they squeezed out the performance numbers with that much weight. Makes me also wonder what would happen if it`s put on a serious diet.
