1998 Honda CBR600 F3 light question

i got a problem with my headlight, the fuse is fine and the light does not seem to turn on...


i dont have the used manual, anyone know what type of bulb i need to buy or is it some other problem, also because when the headlight was working only the high beam would stay on.....



please someone help me so i can ride tonight!!

should be a h4 bulb

most likely the bulb, give it a try first

thanks dude, yea i was just trying to make shure it ws either h4 or h7, i tihnk h7 is for the newer bikes.

turned out to he an H4, i installed it and it was working for a while both low and high beam, but then the light went out again, i checked the fuse and its fine.....



any suggestions?

short maybe? Check your wiring harness and see if u see any part of it that seems to be rubbing anywhere. And obviously if there are exposed wires lol.

if u get another h4 bulb and it does the same thing, then most likely it's some kind of short. Does it look like ur bulbs are burnt out? (if u can see it)

also make sure you dont touch bulb before install i always clean with rubbing alcohol prior to installing even i dont touch it cuz who knows what happened before you purchased it.

try and unplug your starter switch. i know that most hondas the headlight goes off when you press the starter switch, and it may be shorted out. or just turn the key on so the light should be on, and wiggle the button for the starter.
