I thought they were extended top hats for a stock,kyb or koni shock so it make a coilover system like groundcontrol work, allowing the fulll travel of the stock height shock or aftermarket one so it doesnt bottom out or blow the shock. Most aftermaket replacement shocks are still stock height for a stock car replacement of a part, thats why groundcontrol came out with the extended top hat to compensate for travel of the shock.

So for the F2 suspension, they already knew whats was going to happen with there system meaning they shorten the link of the shock, use ticker oils, have better valving made better seals, and impove the rebound.
