got to dallas yesterday at around 5, i got a buncha pics but my camera is at a friends house right now. we taped up his S and i wrote LOLZ!1 on the rear bumper, and put the shocker sign on the other side, the car looked so spoonish b/c it's yellow with blue woot. i'll probably post pics tonight maybe after i get back. having lotsa fun here though =]

The best of show was that Jetta with the 3rd seat in the back with that big ass monitor in the middle.

All I remember is that Jesse from Jspek took home a trophy for the honda fit.

HIN Pre-Party at Club Purgatory

We got there at 8 and stayed until 10:30pm. When we arrived, no one but the DJ booth and a few locals were there. 16Niss supposedly had made an appearance. Two other groups names Fast4Wheels and RiceKillers showed up, both of which showed at HIN.

Anyways, all of the pictures i got were of our cars becuase my battery died before the other people showed up.

just got back home to houston now, overall the show was good. some negatives and some positives, but there were some good quality cars out there. i showed along jspek and had a great time, cool people.

there was alot of competition out there for all sorts of classes. one thing that bothered me was that they didnt open any doors for more room to fill alot more cars. it was just in one mediocre sized ballroom, another bad thing is that i wished they had more signs outside. there were no signs at ALL to go to, roll in, directions to the proper parking lot to wait or to pick up our car forms. for a person that rarely goes to dallas, one can get confused real easy. i also saw a few cars out there that had stock wheels, evidently the rules didnt apply to them.

on to positives, it was fun. had a great time. the majority of the people that were there, came from houston. i would say under 50% of the cars were from dallas and other cities. for the awards, i believe that most of them that won deserved it. team 16ness and TWC repped and won quite a few awards for their teams.

one bad note, they totally ruined the VIP class. when hearing them say who won the VIP class, the winners were all euro?

just got back home to houston now, overall the show was good. some negatives and some positives, but there were some good quality cars out there. i showed along jspek and had a great time, cool people.

there was alot of competition out there for all sorts of classes. one thing that bothered me was that they didnt open any doors for more room to fill alot more cars. it was just in one mediocre sized ballroom, another bad thing is that i wished they had more signs outside. there were no signs at ALL to go to, roll in, directions to the proper parking lot to wait or to pick up our car forms. for a person that rarely goes to dallas, one can get confused real easy. i also saw a few cars out there that had stock wheels, evidently the rules didnt apply to them.

on to positives, it was fun. had a great time. the majority of the people that were there, came from houston. i would say under 50% of the cars were from dallas and other cities. for the awards, i believe that most of them that won deserved it. team 16ness and TWC repped and won quite a few awards for their teams.

one bad note, they totally ruined the VIP class. when hearing them say who won the VIP class, the winners were all euro?

tripod would have been pointless. there was zero room for a tripod. in fact, EVERY pro photog there was NOT using a tripod. good pics can be taken without a tripod, my pics are proof of that.
how would it be pointless? i was using it for some time and the pics came out better then when i was using flash. flash was ok in certain areas but for cars in very dark areas it wasn't any good. that and you couldn't bounce it very well because the walls and ceilings were far away.

to respond to secret agent. i was never arguing with him. but noobs with point and shoot will just set their camera to auto and flash the heck outa a picture. i personally like a tripod because i don't have a SLR and just use a longer shutter speed etc etc. if i had an external flash and such, i would use. but unfortunately i do not.

here are some i took at AC. pitched black too. and pro's there were using tripods. (i think) i'm no expert, but i like these photos compared to pure P and S
