Somone off this board, or a shop, but needs to be close to the 1960 and 45 area. I have a point and shoot kodak, the lense cover is automatic, and somtimes wont open or close, just have to slide your finger and open it, then its fine. But its aggitating when you forget to open it, and take a black picture. I either want it fixed or taken off, I will put a cheap lense cap on it then. The cam was only $200 new, so me paying a shop an outragous fee is kind of stupid.

Recap. Cheap shop or individual who knows how to work on or modify p and s

There's a couple of places that I'm not sure what the names are, but you can call Camera Co-op or Houston Camera Exchange and they will forward you over to some place.

kodaks are not worth repairing.

there is a wolf/ritz camera close to you, but its gonna be what it cost to replace it. Unless you use teh doc to print alot, do yourself a favor and buy a better, non kodak camera

this is why i said it was a cheapo. Im not a pro, nor do I claim to be. I guess I will continue to open the lense cover with my finger until i pony up the money. For $200, it does what it was meant to. Take decent pictures with ease.

I wasnt trying to be mean, but for the most part kodaks cost more to repair than what you bought them for.
