Consider I have the shutter speed set at 1 second. If I set the Aperture at
f45, f22, f11, f5.6, f2.8, and f1.4 will the picture get brighter in a linear corolation or will it reach some point of Asymtote at a single f and keep a constant brightness in the picture?

dark------>bright. itll also effect DOF. smaller the number, larger the aperture, shallower depth of field. visa versa. someone correct me if im wrong.

hope it answers your question, i havent taken geometry in a few years so im feelin stupid right now trying to remember what an asymtote is

If you look at the top half of the graph and the Blue line. If you go from Left to Right you can see the line is increasing and getting closer and closer to the Y axis, but NEVER touching actually reaching. Because it never touches or reaches the Y axis, it now becomes an Asymtote to the Y axis.

aperture is how much light is let into the camera, so yes if you stay at 1 sec exposure and start at F16 and goto F1.4, the picture will become very bright. It will also affect your depth of field like david said.

what are you trying to understand by asking this question, its very vague

omg i know you didn't just bust out with a graph on us. Ofay and David pretty much answered your questions bro. keep it on the reals man
