broken lcd on camera

i have a canon sd400 i bought a year ago, i just turned it on and find out the lcd is broken. best buy wont take it for warranty cause they said its physical damage but the phones in perfect condition, hasnt been dropped or anything so how can there be physical damage if everything is in mint condition except the lcd screen. well i was wondering if there are any camera repair stores around houston, i live on the nw area. how much am i looking for a lcd replacement and is it worth fixing or just sellin the camera as is and buying a new one? thanks

get a new one. its not economical to fix it. i dont know what you mean by phone though.

well i found out its a 100.00 repair from canon

thats if just the lcd is broken, if its anything else its gonna cost you more. Just buy a new camera.



and lcd screens can break if you put pressure on them, it wont look like a dropped camera, but the screen will stop working. heat fucks um up as well.

DUDDE chilll/// let me get a link from my buddy.. hes cracked his screen on his sd300 millions of times and changed it himself./. bought the screens for dirt cheap.. took the screws off the cam and bam got it put back together! dont do anything crazy yet.. unless u want to upgrade the cam

i dont know about you todd but i get perfect exposure every time. no need for the screen.

Plus it's a point & shoot anyway. Could just leave it on automatic and take pictures like we did before digital days. I think someone will buy for more than $5.
