I took my friend Jon out for a shoot last week. Posing guys is a bit harder... I think I like girls better.
Here's a few pics:

#2 is the best photo, but its also the one that makes him look the most feminine.

lol he was wearing my sunglasses... might've attributed to the female vibe.

i thought the first one was the best. the wide angle was a good choice.
and im sure if you shot a guy less feminine then its easier to pose..

First off good job... I've never photographed boys and I'm somewhat apprehensive to as well. Their poses are so much more limited.
Secondly, I really like the idea of this picture, but I think it would have improved with a wider frame/more aggressive composition. Also, I would photoshop out the soft circular line intersecting with his umbrella and head. It's distracting and doesn't add anything to the picture.

First off, thank you :) You have some awesome stuff too. Maybe we can go shoot together when I go to Austin? haha I need shooting buddies. In the first pic I used the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5

lol i am an amateur to the max, and I like it that way. You shoot whatever the hell you want whenever you want without someone being on your ass. that's when you learn the most too, trial and error.

Thanks everyone :) I'm going to be shooting another one of my friends tomorrow, a girl, and a natural red head hahaha. That should be fun. I'm going to be using my work equiptment instead of my XT, which will yield some interesting results. Also going to be using a video light... hmm...
