I don't think that the mods should be aloud to ban people just because they smarted off to them -- if insulting is against the rules then mods shouldn't do it either. If a mod does it to me, I can't do it to them just because they're all high and mighty with their super forum power?

mods own the forum, maintain the forum, pay for the space, and keep it clean (not including *los lounge*...:D).

if you insult, smart off on mods. they have the right to BAN.

(if someone smarts you off/insults on you in your house, you kick them out, and they are not welcome in your home anymore.)

I was unaware that moderators paid for the space. Even so, there are people who constantly postwhore (I'm looking at you, St3ph3n :eek3: ) or only reply with IBTL.

I was unaware that moderators paid for the space. But just because someone's in your house, you can't expect them to let you smart off to them, without being smarted off back to. If a mod calls me a shitbag, I should be able to do it back. That's all I'm saying.

If it is a pay issue, I wouldn't care if these forums charged $5 or $10 to join. At least then we'd all be paying for the bandwidth, it would get rid of the nonserious posters, and moderators wouldn't be able to have the attitude of "well I paid for it, if I don't want you here, you get the hell out." Also, I have no problem in donating money to support the bandwidth of the forums.
