Well it was this weekend, good turn out. We had about 15 rigs and about 15 others showed up, including 2 jeeps and an fj40 on rockwells and 47X20" mickey thompsons. They were badass. The place (Katemcy Rocks, Mason TX) was really cool too, its just a big rock basically, drive wherever you wont. For once i didnt break anything (other than my camera). here are a few pics of the place before the camera broke...

Ever consider getting some all terrains?
Or...are your current tires holding up pretty well...
That's some beautiful countryside!

those are all terrains kinda hard to tell from the pic cause they were spinning quite a bit at that point and its dark, but to answer your question... if i keep it, the fenders are getting hacked and 35 x 12.5 bfg m/t's are going on it, until then ill stay with the wranglers

Is that a rear-steer setup I'm seeing too? Wheel/tire angle is different than that of the body, thus methinks 4ws

you would be correct, its got 4wheel hydro steer on 2.5 ton rockwells.... really cant go wrong with that setup, on and i think it had an lt1 or ls1... not a bad powerplant either. It was fun watching them drive/crawl over things i would have a hard time walking over. Someday ill be able to hang with them.... someday

I need Rockwells under my next Jeep... screw the HP44/D60 combo I was planning on. Rockwells are a must  As is the steering. And that engine too. Hell just give me the damn FJ and I'll drop an XJ body on it

hey, at least you have options for axle swaps, if i ever do that to mine ill have to find a pass. offset REAR axle as well as a pass drop front, damn inline t-case. But anyways i think rocks would be a little overkill for you.

Yeah.. mud, sand, and trails are more my thing. Been rock-crawling once, and while it was fun, it required just a liiiiittle bit more patience and finess than I really wanted to give it :p
