Im in the market for a Yamaha R6, basically 2003-2005's only.

An 04 would be perfect, but as long as it falls within those years. Bike must have a clear title, and be in very good condition. I know any owner would take good care of this bike anyways. Wrecked bikes or stunt bikes wont be considered. Im only looking for the TEAM BLUE COLOR ONLY! The red looks sweet, and the silver is timeless, but Ive always said if I ever get the R6 its going to be BLUE!

Paying all cash, no financing or banks to deal with. All I ask is that the bike be available for personal inspection and test ride by person I know who is familiar with it (while you hold cash in hand).

The Team Blue is a rare color to find for sale here in Houston. ExImports has an 04, but the price was ridiculous and so was the salesperson. Also a cracked spedo isnt very convincing for well maintained and never wrecked.

good luck, I just picked up a perfect condition Blue R6 myself.

I do have a friend I know selling an 04 with a few minor mods to it for 6500obo. Dont know what price range your in or if you care about traveling a little while to pick one up.. I can attest to it's good condition and clear title. And yes it's blue.. mods he has are just cosmetic. like frame sliders and a few little cosmetics here and there. Nothing major.

ExImports was asking $7,995 +TTL with a cracked spedo and dirty fluids. + $395 inspection and prep fee = $9,000+ drive out. Yeah right! I can pick up an brand new 2006 R6 with Yamaha warranty for $8,300.

Decided Im looking for a local bike, so I can have it inspected professionally by Motorcycles Unlimited. This is the deal maker for me, the owner must be willing to allow the bike to be inspected.

Owner must be willing to let a local neutral Yahama Dealer look over the bike and inspect it before I purchase. I will pay for the inspection and dealer fees. Then purchase the bike in cash following a satisfactory report.

I just want to make sure I get a clean bike, Ive heard alot of horror stories about wrecked and salvaged bikes and I dont think this is an unreasonable request that would deter any sellers from completing a deal right? Any opinions or serious offers?
