My cousin is looking for a sporty bike for her to start on. She has a little exp. so she wants to start on a 600. Pretty much any 600 that looks decent. She is trying to spend less then $2500, but she might be willing to spend more.
Let's see what you got H-I.

i think she should get a ninja 250. but for 2500 its kinda hard to get a 600 unless its a old one or a junk one.

well... she has driven her friend's GSX-R for a while. But, she is still looking for one to start off on; so, she doesn't want anything "new".

tell her to buy a wrecked one and then just order a new set of plastics for it. You can find wrecked ones on cycletrader all day long and they ship. and you can get entire sets of plastics on ebay for about 450-500..

bah, MSF is nice for a complete beginner but i personally found the class to be painfully boring and i really took nothing away from it except a card i used to get a decal for my bike to be allowed on my base.

it;s like the military, you get what you put into it, if you go there to learn, you will. if you go knowing everything, your not gonna learn.
i wish i was as good as you.

Her friends taught her and she's already taken the class like 6-8 months back... and has been riding her friend's whenever he comes by. So, I'm pretty sure she'll be able to handle it.

I just think that anyone that has ridden every day for at least 6 months is going to take pretty much nothing from the course. Like I previously stated it is a great course for a true beginner that needs the basic skills..
