i don't see how lifting off the throttle would cause you to crash.

more accidents are caused by inattention instead of speeding.

Gee, I wonder why we have so many cops "protecting our roadways against evil speeders" when they really aren't helping anything after all?
Maybe insurance should look at different parameters to detect high risk drivers?

Intelligent Cruise Control has been here since 2002 on the Infiniti Q45. It applies the brakes for you, keeping a safe distance between you and the car in front. So they have half the technology already here.
