hey a buddy of mine just got an 02 avalanche 2WD, he wants to put the biggest tires possible without lifting. he said he'd lift if he couldnt fit a decent size on it. we're both noobs in the truck scene, any ideas/advice? lmk thanks in advance.

I'd call up NTB or discount tire.. or even walk in and ask for a quote on the biggest tires that will fit. that is what I did w/ the jeep.

nice I just got a new avalanche as well but its a 06.According to clubavalanche.com the largest you can possibly fit is 285/70/17 and that is bone dry stock if you have the 17 inch wheel package. If your going aftermarket wheels,I have seen up to 24's put on but have not seen a avalanche yet w/ 26's.I myself have 22's and the ride is unbelievably smooth but that is due to the tires i got put on.
