If you think strictly in the context of the Type R design, look back at the past and it can be argued those past Type R's were equally "weird" to public standards of a normal looking automobile. It might be super trendy now to have a JDM lip kit and smoked out headlights but wasn't it odd(but cool) back in the mid 90's? I think it looks nicely evolved! It has that funkyness to it, yet its something fresh.

Not really, the other Type R's had very subtle differences, most people wouldn't have recognized the differences much less think of them as "odd". Except for the big ass "TYPE R" sickers on the side. :o

I guess that's why America gets the Si and I guess the sales were solid enough in past Type Rs in Europe warranting a more Euro look to it. I thought this happened already with the EPs, but I think it just went one step further. For one I can honestly say that I hope a Type R doesn't reach our shores.

I didnt like it AT ALL when i 1st saw it (about 6-7 months ago...at least) but its grown on me and doesnt really look that bad now.
ALSO, from what i understand, its supposed to be the European Civic, which means its not gonna make it to the US shores, (unless of course its imported like).
