Easily cured with an angle-grinder or sawzall :D

have you tried flexing it yet? doesnt look like there is much clearance with those, but then agian i dont know how stiff the suspension is on those trucks.
What are you doin to the sammy?

Sami is getting a full rebuild..

pistons/rods/crank/rings/valves/

:D

It barely rubbed and If I wanted em on bad enough Id break out the sawzall.. but I was just messing around.... so I took em back off.. Ive been emailing all kinds of companies (fab tech / rancho / etc) to see if they are going to make a lift for the Dakota.. they said no :(

Homebrew lift setup perhaps? Popular way to get 4+ inches for an XJ is to mate the lower leaves from an S10 to the main leaf of the XJ. For the front, coils from an F150 are used. Perhaps you could go the same route with the Dak? Not necessarily the same parts, but the same idea... maybe coils from an F250 and leaves from a Tundra? As long as the leaves are within 2 - 3" in length of your current ones they should work; we had to trim 1" off the secondary leaf for my friends S10/XJ pack

What year is your samurai? And instead of the rebuild, why not just a 1.6 swap these tiny engines are so cheap and easy to replace? There is a big difference from the 1.3 to 1.6! I have a couple friends who've done this swap and are very pleased with the results compared to a 1.3!!!
