Pelican Island.....Where is it?

hey i was just wondering i heard theres a few places in glavestion to go Wheelin... an i heard pelican island was tight.. if anyone knows how to get there or wut places are tight and wanna go tonight send me a PM...:rock:

go down I45 south till you hit the cossway(big bridge to g-town) then after the bridge, take the 61st st exit. go right on 61st. you will hit the seawall at the end of 61st. take a right. then drive for like 35-45 min. read the signs. if this sounds too far to you i wouldnt go. and dont go at night. you can get stranded out there easy. + its more fun during the day. you can see all the hills. but the biggest thing is DONT GET CAUGHT. the cops are out there in big trucks and its highle illeagle to mess up the hills and "jumps" out there. dont ask me why.

Thats not Pelican Island.

To get to Pelican Island head into Galveston down 45 to where it becomes Broadway, a few blocks past the RaceTrac gas station make a left on 51st St.
The street will raise up and you'll hit a red light, continue to go straight and after about a mile youll pass over a bridge. You should see A&M Galveston to your right. This is Pelican Island.

The Whole North side of the Island is government land and where everybody goes offroading. If you keep heading down the road you'll see multiple side streets to your left that are blocked off(Thanks to dumpers). But if you keep heading down the road until you almost reach Seawolf park, there is a dirt road to your left that is an access road for fishermen. Head down that road and you should see trails that head over Dunes/levies that give you access to it.

Make sure to go with a friend, some of the mud doesnt look that deep until your stuck in it.:D
