Jameson left At Speed Motorsports this year to start a new endeavor. Udoubtedly frustrated with At Speed Motorsports for being incapable of putting together anything short of the Back to the Future Delorean (overly complicated, and equally unreliable) Jameson Riley has teamed up with Sportiv, a european Volvo tuner, and are developing a S40 T5 for the 06 Speed World Touring series.

Riley Racing announced today that they will take on the chase for the Touring Car championship in the 2006 Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) SPEED World Challenge. The father (Chris) and son (Jameson) combination will be taking on the extra challenge of transforming a Volvo S40 T5 street car into a full-scale racing machine.
Chris Riley, President of Stamford Volvo in Connecticut, will oversee the team while son Jameson Riley will pilot the Volvo at the ten venues on the 2006 Touring Car calendar, beginning with the season's traditional opener at the historic Sebring International Raceway in Florida.
Joining the Riley effort as their official technical partner will be Heico Sportiv, supplier of aftermarket products for Volvo. Sportiv will aid in analyzing the chassis and all engine data.
The connection with Sportiv landed a seat for young Jameson Riley in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, the endurance race in Germany in June. Jameson will be one of the co-drivers for the Sportiv team, driving, of course, a Volvo S40 T5.
Autosport Development will lend assistance on the development of the chassis, as the company has expertise in the World Challenge series for both GT and Touring Car development.
"My father and I are excited about teaming up to race in the SPEED World Challenge Touring Car series in 2006," commented Jameson Riley. "The Volvo S40 that we'll be using should be very competitive, and with the help of Heico Sportiv and Autosport Development, we should be up to pace very quickly. We're all looking forward to this season."'
