I am very impressed... as of now I do NOT want a front locker...

Next mods will be the sky front / rear YJ kit as the calmini springs dont wanna flex for crap.

I walked up EVERY hill without using the gas.. all gears.. just crawled. It was great... the wife said okay after a hour and that we should leave before I break something. I should of listened.. (last pic)

The hills that I use to have to ROMP on to BARELY make it up or not even make it up. I just crawled right over. It was nice.

For now... the rear locker definitely gets me where I need to be.. front locker will come in due time... but that's after the power steering comes... lol

ah, fair enough. No power steering huh? might as well just go to hydroboost steering, especially if it will eventually be locked with tires like that. By the way, what axles does that have under it?

Stock Sammi Axles for now.. 33s are the max for em and only if you wheel it conservatively.... (sp? lol) I crawl places.. hence the reason for the new tcase gears.. 98% lower

This summer I wanna swap to a toyota pickup front axle and land cruiser rear...

I was going to do cherokee chief full widths but saw how wide they were.. I want wide... but they were TOO wide.. I mean the whole tire would be atleast a foot outside the body on each side.. lol

yea, itll be hard to find some axles that wont stick out too much. You could always shorten up some dana 44's for it. Do you have a dual t-case or just a regeared one?

Just regeared...

I dont mind sticking out ... but the widetrack d44s were just TOO wide...

If I find some waggy axles thatd be hawt...

Stock is like 52" or something... the toy axles are like 58-60 ... the waggys are like 62.. the widetracks i think are even wider.

Pah... don't get new flares just trim the ones you've got :)

I originally cut the stock flares on my XJ so they all sat even with the bottom of the front headlights. I didn't feel like dropping more cash for different flares, nor did I want to have to worry about re-drilling holes and such. In the end I ended up trimming my fenders 4"/3" front/rear for more clearance and it looks mean as hell. From what I can see in the pics, you could trim the fenders so they match up with the front edge of the front flares (they look to be even with the lower door hinge?). You won't have to worry about new mounting locations for the TJ flares then either :thumb:

i have an 83 waggy sitting on a front dana 44 and rear amc 20, i may part it out soon or make it an all-out trail rig (much more appealing since i wouldnt mind flipping it if it had a cage, and i would kill myself if i flipped the rover) if i part it ill let you know

If you could let me know too that'd be sweet :thumb: I'm planning 35's and a locker, and I really don't think the D30 is going to like that too much... May be interested in that AMC too, depends on whether or not I've found anything by the time you part, if you do :)

Ah, free is good... especially when it comes to parts :thumb: I demand pics after they're on, sounds like a mean-looking setup :)
