View Full Version : Explorer engine swap

Well my '94 explorer's tranny croaked, so instead of dropping money on a transmission, I thought, why not upgrade to a v8 and corresponding tranny. I have done some research on the topic and was wondering if I could find additional help here. So far I need to get a 302 5.0 v8 and c-4 tranny in additon to motor mounts and etc. I was wondering where I might get this done and how much it might set me back. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I remeber I was at Speed Fetish once, and They were swapping a 5.0 into older F-series from a 300 I-6, I think they can help you,

thanks dude for that info, some helpful stuff, but i think i will stop draining money into it and get a different vehicle.

Is 94 the Last year of The Boxy Style or the First year of The Rounded style?
