im getting 4 Boston G512's, custom black leather box, Boston Acoustic Speakers, JL Amp, Pioneer Double Din Dvd navi system w/ 6.5inch touch screen sometime around mid feb. early mar. im also gettin a front black brushguard and black tail gurads too. :hs:

an when i get some more money im deciding wether or not if i want to lift it about 3-4inchs, get 35inch tires, an 20-22in rims (chrome) an hopefully an exhaust system

edit: not refering to your car specifically, just the h2/h3 and even some of the things theyve done to the h1. As far as yours goes... it looks clean, but unless you plan on using it off road (which im guessing your not since you want chrome wheels) i dont see the point. but thats my 2 cents. enjoy your ride

Personally I'd like to see the running boards nixed... it's nowhere near high enough to require those :thumb:

And it's waaaaaay to clean in those pics, you need mud/off-road shots :rock:

Pretty nice though, I like the styling of the H3 over the 2 :)

what do you have to base that on? I agree theyre nothing like the original h1 but theyre not bad off-road. Much better than most full size trucks. They have decent ground clearance, "ok" articulation (which most trucks have none of) and i believe they have a rear locker or limited slip at least. They just get a bad rep because no one takes them off road... they just get turned into "cool rides" or show trucks. but for those who take their trucks off road would see the full potential of new hummer. allbeit not as good as the old h1. Hell, the new h1's dont even have solid lockers, just some electronic trac control thats like a locker. Anyways, i still dont like them either but at least give some credit where credit is due.

saw that and also saw a vid of an h2 going "off road" in some dirt, and dislocating the axle decending down the slope hehee :hsugh: Keep your H2s on the street, the jeep is for offroading ( when modified )

yes i have seen the videos of them breaking, ive also seen videos of anything breaking. Off-roading is tuff on all cars, especially if theyre stock. Just like race cars, you dont run 30lbs boost on stock internals... you dont run big tires on rocks w/o upgraded axles, especially if you have a locker. Yea, its the same chassis as the tahoe, so what. Never underestimate the power of a diff lock. Sure, its not an h1, unimog, rrc, jeep, fj, or even a land rover but compared to most "4x4" cars/trucks on the road it can hold its own

That was driver error... if I was a moron and tried to drive over a stump that high in my lifted Jeep, I'd get just as stuck. As for the tierod, it's not all that uncommon for larger-tired vehicles to bend/snap the tierod when in the rocks, vehicle could slip down into a tight-spot or something.. I've snapped my tierod ends offroad and I only had 31's at the time (granted they were stock and they sucked). As previously mentioned, offroading can be hell on suspension and driveline components, as well as the vehicle all together, axles usually need to be upgraded (especially if you're locking them with big tires), steering strengthened and reinforced, there's a long list of required/smart upgrades to keep yourself from ripping your toy to pieces. I'm not trying to defend the H2's, I'm not a fan of them myself, but driver stupidity and not knowing how to use a vehicle (no matter the degree of capability) isn't really a justifiable cause for that vehicle to be crap. But I agree with the Tahoe in disguise, the H2 is kind of a Tonka-toy body on a HotWheel's platform. As for the H3... I'll just have to wait and see when that H3 kid hopefully 'wheels with us for the offroad meet :p

imo if your 16, you dont need a hummer h2,3 whatever. i just dont think it right that some people bust their ass their whole life to get a car like that and some little kid turns 16 and gets a brand new one. im not hatin or anything, congrats on your car, but if my parents gave me 30-40 thousand then i wouldnt have wasted it on that thing. all i can say is be responsible with it. ive had plenty of friends that have totaled their cars because some little kid with a new license and a new car doesnt know how to drive.
