it's based on a modified camry platform.. so yes it's still fwd. however, lexus now has the japanese entry lux car market on lock w/ both the new es350 and is250/350. also, this es definitely makes up for the fish looking current gen es.

on lock versus Acura's TL and Infiniti's G35, I think that's just wishful thinking. I agree with you about the current gen ES ... my dad has had three of them since they came out. I don't understand it, they don't look all that hot (but at least they are comfortable and they drive well)

hey it has a panoramic roof. that is nice, but might get too hot here in houston maybe. Dunno how are you TC owners doing in the summer since you kinda have the same roof.

The new 3.5 v6 looks quite promising, and seems to be performing well in the new IS. I have to agree, though, that the older v6's didnt have much to be desired.
