no. To get into nascar/nascar trucks Toyota had to develope a pushrod engine from scratch. It is not used in any of their production vehicles.

Probably just like the pushrod air restricted carbed v8 that everyone else runs :X. Nascar has strict rules and regulations on what you can run to keep teams from having an unfair advantage. I guess Toyota is the first jap brand to finally realise NASCAR is an excellent sector of advertising, time to pop the beer ; ).

As far as I can remember(used to be a HUGE NASCAR fan), they all run a chevy 350 block ,all tuned to around 350-375 horses. I belive the engines have to be relitivly the same, but the real way you win races is the tweaking of the suspension in the car, and ofcorse the driver. They are all basically the same car and frame. Just slap a body over it with a different badge.

yeah they just separated the names because the old 90's 2 door camry was known as just the camry, toyota just decided to take the same car and come out with a chop top version with a catchy name (for the time it came out:hsugh: )
