on lifting days i go for 3 sets of 10. depending on how tired i get i will settle for 2, and if i cant get all 10 reps i will go down to 8 then 6 on the latter sets. i have 2 sets of dumbells currently with 45 and 25-30 lbs on each.
the thing is ive really been working my ass off for the last 2 months or so trying to loose weight, but its just not happening. ive been pretty religious about my routine. if i know im going to miss a work out one night ill double up the night before or after. a few people, namely family, have said that im looking trimmer, but i dont see shit yet (sept my traps are looking pretty hot) but theyre family so it doesnt count :D
the next thing i will be focusing on will be my diet, but i was really hoping to be down 5-10 lbs by now. i havent changed my diet drastically at this point (i wasnt gaining before) but really just tried to spread it out more and ive been more consious of what ive been eating for the past several months.
would it help if i were to split my routine down more? like bike 30 mins/day and split up my lifting schedule to 6 days? tia

you have to have a diet to go with the right routine...
yea get crackin on your diet. its hard to tell in the initial stages, specially if you're hitting the weights, the scale wont tell you shit really. did you happen to take any before pics? if not, i suggest you do that as soon as possible, and do a month-to-month pic comparrision. that will fo sure show you the results.
but in the beginning if you dont have metabolism on your side, the work will go down the drain... so get started on that diet as soon as possible. some would say you shoulda started on it first.

well i dropped about 15 lbs in about two months on my treadmill before it broke. all i was doing was 30 mins 3x per week. dont have a cam, but ill probably get one soon. i need to reread that article you posted before and take some notes and stuff. ill probably have to start shopping for myself too. im just lazy about some stuff like that =)

its not going to happen over night bro
keep working keep the diet strict the results will come you may even want to add in some more cardio on sat and sunday but not 60 minute sessions 30 minute HIIT sessions. btw how are these 60 minute sessions ? intense or are you just peddling? cause unless you are ramping your heart rate up you aint really doing anything.

seriously its all about diet.
you can do all that, but diet is key in weight loss.
i lost about 15lbs in one month on ACCIDENT by changing what i ate.

diet. Cut back on the carbs if your trying to lose weight. I dropped 20 lbs in 6 weeks cutting back on my carbs and just lifting weights 4-5 a week. No cardio at all.

boiling expells alot of the nutrients that you are supposed to be getting in foods . . .. baking and steaming are the way to go.

well it was a soup.
you dont even have to go low carb, just eat the right carbs, as long as you use it all up, (intense all the way through workouts) you'll be fine.
try to focus on recomposing your body rather then lowering the number on the scale.
and you really should pick one, either try to gain mass or lose fat, cause its very difficult to do both right now at the stage you're at IMO. i think u should jus take ur time and get the weight off, then try to gain some mass, then cut up again, then repeat. thats what most people do. its easier for you cause the diet for gaining mass is different from the diet for losing fat.. then you can put all your focus on 1 goal at a time. you feeeeel me?

yeah that makes sense; trying to do too much at once. maybe ill give it a few more weeks. i can really see the diff as far as toning up, i was just hoping id be trimming down at the same time, but its probably better to do them seperately. i guess ill just have to get in there and do some homework in the next few weeks and try and figure all this nutrition/diet crap out. what a pita. i just wanna hit the weights :D
you can hit the weights, jus like i said gaining mass and losing fat have 2 totally different diets. slim down will be hard to "notice".. so i suggest you take pics. bi weekly or monthly.
