Maybe some way of automatically cleaning out your PM box....or sending a popup informing the person to clean out their PM box...email notification does not seem to be working, so people will not have to start new threads somewhere saying "attention soandso" :dunno: just a thought me and jesse talked about

:wrd: im with him on this one.......pretty good idea also.......maybe a pop up box like how there is one notifying you when you have a new PM.....something along the line of that.....:thumb:

Or how about since houston-imports.com is on a much better server than before with more storage space than ever, you increase the limitations on private messages. 50 is probably more than enough, but for most it fills up quickly and even after thourough explanation most still don't know how to truly clean it out.

If they are too ignorant to clean it out with the 50 limit, then its just gonna fill up at 100 and stay full too.

I say delete any pms that are over 10 days past read. Naturally if they have not been read dont delete them.

the reason the box fills up so fast for some people because they save every messege that is sent out and that takes up space...ive proven this with my own expiriment.

also some people choose to save the sent messages which also takes up more space

thats why there is a *backup* option..you can back up saved messages and inbox messages...and then clear what you gots ta clear

I don't really see a reason for the sent messages to be saved for any longer than the "tracking" messages are. Is there any way to just automatically delete sent messages after say, 10 days or so? Just a thought....

But I agree with Kelly... you don't have to be a brainiac to maintain a PM box...
