Hey does anyone know if for sure the Track times where off on like 2-3 fridays ago.... i know someone with a 2001 Civic Ex that had intake, exhaust and Port and polished head.. with a track slip showing 14.1 ... just isnt believable... civics are not gonna run a 14 without forced induction or Spray.. and thats a fact.. !

Maybe the times were off, but saying a civic can't get into the 14's without some type of forced induction is BS.

A 7th gen? hmm, maybe high 14's with ALOT of money. Do they even make internals for those things yet?

Anyone can get any kind of timeslip. Timeslips don't really mean anything. Sometimes people just throw theirs down on the ground and someone else will come along and pick it up. Some people actually trade for certain reasons. Back in the day I gave one of my timeslips to some kid that asked me for it. He asked me if I minded that he was going to use it as his timeslip and of course I didn't care. Some people like to show that they are faster than they really are and on the other hand, some people like to show that they are slower than they really are. If I showed you a timeslip that said 14.1, would you really believe that it was mine. I am not saying that he couldn't have ran that number, but you shouldn't always believe everything people tell you or show you.

Now that I think about it, I kinda want to race this all-motor 7th gen. Wanna take a crack at my near stock DX?

When he said civics can't run 14's without a poweradder, he never said anything about 7th gens. He made a generalization, which if not worded right, means two completely different things. I know a 7th gen MAY break a high 14 without any help, there's not much out there for them yet.

There are sohc civics in the 14's without power adders. Ususally a stripped out 4th gen with a built motor.

I'll easily break a timeslip off faster than a high 14 with only one mod on a 7th gen. Technically, it'll still be stock too(Integra(RSX) Type R engine)

hmm, not stock. Does hasport make a kit for that yet?

I don't know about HASport, but I know Area 51 has done it, they were the first, I'm sure there are more companies. If I had the money and the desire, I know a person or two that could fabricate them. Or I can just go the easy way and get 02-up Si, so the work would be a lot easier.

The new SI's are much heavier than the coupes of the same gen. I'd drop that motor into a sedan, no one would see that coming...

Yeah but the engine drops almost straight into a hatch, with minor modifications. It'll just make it easier.

meaning 01 and newer civics? or just civics period? or just civic coupes? as far as HASport they do offer mounts for the swap....the coupe recquire HEAVY modification to squeeze the K20 into the engine bay....But there is a guy in H-town with it done.....I wonder if anyone has fallen victim to him yet? its a black 01 Coupe with black wheels (slipstreams I believe)

Well i dont care if they can .. or cant run that.. i know he doesnt... i am sorry but a P&P with intake and a exhaust tip.. isnt gonna put a 7th Gen. Civic at 14's.... So when i leave his ass in my 95 Integra LS with basic boltons ... i will know what he runs..

The left lane 1/8 mile likes to just randomly stop reading too.

Also, he coulda just been given the wrong timeslip.

Or he could just be gay, you never know with kids these days..

its easy to tell if the time if 14.1 and its not suppose to be it wil read a real low trap speed.. say he runs 16's which he prolly does he will prolly trap at 80somehting mph... check the trap speed and 60' time..
