the race went like this....
owned by 10-12 cars
thats what it looked like in my rear view :D nice race psyco..
for those that says a 16 second car can beat a high to mid 14 second car...you are wrong. nomatter how good the driver. no matter how good the skill. its not physically possible unless there is a mistake made by the driver of the faster car. I dont brag about my driving skills, im not the best driver like jason, but im not the worst driver either. those have raced me can vouch for that. I dont mind losing fairly...but if someone lies about the mods they have just to get someone to race, thats idiotic and is trying to make a fool outta the person who he challenges plain and simple. Psyco did not lie at all, that was all he had. I had a hole in my intake cause it seems the torque of the engine broke the bracket clean off the intake previously before we ever raced. Looks like it happened earlier this week. It was a good race and I enjoyed it. I asked psyco by how much he thought i would beat him before he raced, He estimated he would be "on my bumper" i estimated 7 car kill...it ended up to be by about 10-12 cars with witnesses to verify it. That is all I enjoyed the run and thanks for the race.
btw we raced for shits and giggles. when we turned around on the u-turn on the feeder heading back he tried to sneak up on me which sounded like first gear, i was still in second, i waited for him to get up close enough i stayed in second gunned it starting from second at a low RPM not even in VTEC yet and flew away winning again by about 4 cars before i got to the light.
Thanks for the run it was enjoyable. I never brag unless i get called out. And he did so i represented. :) :thumb:

jk yeah we'll run when i finish the car, i got some tweaking and shit i gotta do first before i race anymore. This race was to just prove a point. Otherwise I wouldnt have raced if there was no money involved, but I made the charity case...hehe JK psyco.. ;)

with similar mods and with the interior gutted I ran a 15.1 at 98 at HRP...that was on my old civic...same mods on this car with one other...full interior should run 15.5's...joeys car run'n 14's...would beat a 15 second car...but I don't plan to have a 15 second car ..I plan to have a 11 second streetable 97 civic...

no...some ppl complain about not have'n something called money?...I don't have that problem...it will happen...and it does take time...and a few engines no doubt...I do have everything on paper and planed out...what todo and when...I have had this car for 2 weeks...

It's possible. John Campbell's car is REALLY light, and he run's 10.60's. All he's got is an MTI heads/cam package. I'll bet he'd run an 11.6 with just the heads/cam package.

I wouldnt say that....my friend had a 99 Coupe and he pulled a 15.2 at HRP on drag radials and basic bolt ons (SOHC)....but his car was pretty light
anything is possible...just most are hellof not likely...

Weight loss does make a difference... but it also depends on the power you are making. If you are making over 400rwhp, the less weight will help you launch like a mad man. I know this one LS1 that has heads and cam, at full weight (3500lbs) the car runs 11.50's on ET Streets. It has an average stall and it normally sees 1.6 or better 60ft times. The car at 3300lbs runs 11.10's to 11.20's with just about the same launch. The car also has a 150 shot. On the gas the car runs 10.50's like clock work. I am sure the car could break into the low 10's if more weight was taken out. This is with the stock LS1 (no bottom end work), heads, cam and some other goodies. That weight reduction also allows the rear end to hold up! This example is the norm with weight reduction. To lose a whole second off your time, the car would have to lose some serious weight.. but it can be done!

yeah the stang is right it takes 100 lbs to save a tenth of a second. I call major bs on 15.1 at 98 big time show me a slip. i pulled a 15.3 at 93 a while back 98 mph is a low 14 trap speed anyways race me psycho im slow :thumb:

I checked with Bone.....with his 99 Coupe...SOHC....basic bolt-ons and ECU....tiping the scales at 2450.....he clicked the 1320 at 15.2@90mph
