rules of a b.o.v.

my friend is considering running twin b.o.v.'s on his grand national, one in front of the throttle bodie, and one if front of the turbo, he feels this will let him vent better and that one b.o.v. couldn't handle the est 20lbs of boost..

now i'm pretty sure he's wrong, but before i go bust his balls about this, i'm asking here..

if i'm right couldn't he just get a HKS SS b.o.v. and adjust the tension bolt on the b.o.v. to the appropriate resistance?

oh and he's look for a b.o.v. (s) btw... if anyone has one layin around

The most effective BOV I have found is the TiAl. A supra guy had two of the big HKS BOVs and will still having problems with blowing pipes off and he even lost a turbo. He went with ONE TiAl and all of his problems were eliminated.

you wont blow too many pipes off if ya weld them :)
i went hks becuase tial bottoms for the 35mmhd were out of stock...35mm bottom, 40 tops...:hit:
tial makes a great product but im leaning toward turbo smart right now

or if u weld beads on the piping and use bump/hump couplings.

all of those technique work well for up to 20 psi or so... when you go past that.. there are other methods you must take to prevent pipes from blowing off.

ive had friends with big single turbo supra's using twind BOV.
