Where is a good place to get a car alarm (Excluding Executive Motoring)? I want some place that does a quality job. Also, if you know around how much is the cost and for what brand of alarm.

I think she just wants a basic alarm would probably controls for the door locks (i guess just actuators). She will probably want to go to a shop to have it installed rather than just buying it and having it installed in someone's garage. It's for a 2003 Civic Ex so she wants to make sure the installer knows what they're doing.

alarms are overrated..kill switches people. all the alarm does is make a noise when they break your window or open the door, the kill switch stops them from taking it. Wether theres an alarm or not, your window or car will be vandalized either way with todays nwebie thieves.

It's all about extras too tho joey.
An alarm won't do much, but I'm siren happy, put you 2 sirens under the hood, and 2 or 3 in the cabin, plus maybe a strobe in the cabin for those funny night-time theives' night vision, and you may get a broken window and some slashed seats or something, but you would have gotten that the moment the theif got your door open anyways most likely, but chances are you are gonna have most of your stuff left. 3 sirens in a cabin-sized enclosed space isn't something to scoff at for sure..
And plus all that, a kill switch, just cuz it's a cheap as hell mod :)

if you have goodies inside your car, its a great way to go about it. by goodies i mean a nice stereo, a nice system, nitrous, etc etc...but if you dont have any goodies like i dont (because i like to keep the car as close to stock and as fast as i can get it to go), I just kill the car where it stands. I dont mind changing a window if it got broken to get the car started, but there in for a big surprise cause not even a tow truck can get that bitch out.

I had my alarm installed there and notices some of the plastic panels under the dash were missing screws and the wires started falling down towards my feet. The range from the remote isn't that good also. My dad had his installed there and it never really worked. He would have to push the button on his remote several times to activate it. His dash was also discolored with something they sprayed on it. On the many times I've been there to get things fixed I would see many pissed off people there that were there for the same reason. I looked them up on the BBB and saw they had many complaints against them. I just wouldn't trust them.
