A little 7 a.m. fun...

So i was turnin to get on I-10 when an older Tiburon starts revvin in front of me. Right from the light he turns and hauls ass off, Im right on his ass for a good mile or two. So at 120 mph I slow it down cuz over here in Katy it is foggy as bitch and he was swervin in and out of traffic like a dummy. Yes I know i was dumb for doin 120 down the feeder. But no one was around til i slowed down. So anybody know the horsepower on one of the older tiburons? Think i could beat him off the line? He had automatic.

Tiburons are limited to about 115-120 mph.....97-02 Tibs had about 140 hp and 130 tq at the flywheel.....They're pretty quick with a few basic boltons.....But they're not fast.

Do you have the GTS version or just a GT.....I remember on a Tib forum a bunch of people claiming to have beaten the GT version a lot.....I even passed one up after he got the jump on the freeway......I wasn't impressed.....But if you got the GTS version you should have walked away from him.....Even with your system.
