I just changed my oil and realized my driver's side CV joint is torn and leaked everything out. Where's a good to place to get it replaced other than the Honda dealer?

Daniel :)

Mods move if needed please.

There wasn't one that I could really see this fitting into. But I do know this one gets a lot of traffic. :hs:

The cheapest place you can find. The CV joint can't really be installed backwards or anything.. It just slides into the carrier or transaxle, whatever you want to call it.

I've been to Pro Axle in the sw area many times for differnent cars... they did a good job.

if you take it out and bring to them they will do it for cheaper.
or you can just swap out the whole axle with them.

DIY it not that hard, it just take alot of time. The parts is cheap for a teg it 17 buck for the inner and outer CV boot. DIY is around 20 buck. Don't bring it to honda they'll charge you a arm and leg.

I know its a drive, but the labor we charge is 1hr ($65hr). Axle is $60-75 (remanufactured axle).

OMG, It is the easiest thing. I'll do it for 20 bucks. Done in like 10-15 min. Bring a gaterade with u.

the only hard part is breaking the axel bolt loose. other than that it can get greasey haha.

EDIT: also if you can get a car quest axel... with a warrenty. Reman can sometimes break, expecially if they are abused... my friend is on his 3rd one and its holding up good :thumb:
