I have a CF hood from Seibon with a resin layer crack... Someone told me tonight about a fix you can do. He said you can drill a tiny hole and inject that windshield repair kit stuff in there and it'll fill the cracks/fix the blem...
Anyone done that yet? Or should I just paint the hood?

It makes sense since the windshield repair kit is acrylic, as is the resin on your hood. Not sure about drilling through the whole thing...just drill enough to develop a crevice below the current damage. Clean it with a pin and then use the glass repair kit as normal. You will have a noticeable perimeter 'shadow' appear, just as you would with a windshield repair kit...but it's not a big deal.
I am sure you could also bring it to a windshield repair place (or truck parked on the side of the road) and they could perform the job.
Good luck :thumb:

if the cf is cracked, they sell cf repair kits....which includes a strip of cf....that u put over the crack and then put resin on it...etc...

Mine was busted on the sides. Corners cracked and chipped. My brother used a fiberglass repair kit and used just the resin from it, he worked it in and smoother it out and then sanded it smooth again so the profile matched. It did not match in color though just made it look right so then he taped out a design and painted the hood so it was mostly carbon fiber but with some paint to cover up the blemishes and nobody would know the better. Good luck getting it going. I regular body shop thats good with fiberglass should be able to help you out.
