View Full Version : weird tranny or engine sound

ok well i recently noticed that my Mazda3 is making this weird sound its like, comes on whenever i either turn on my AC and also when i step on accelerator (and not just when am flooring it either, i could just be stepping on it slightly) and it still makes this weird sound...sort of like say there was something loose inside something..... :-/ does anyone know what it could be? and this sound doesnt seem to affect my performance but it just worries me that it might turn into something far worse......any help would be greatly appreciated.... :rock:

if its a whinding/screaming noise id bet $5 its your A/C belt... how old is the car?

its a 2004.....and am thinking it has something to do with teh AC cos like the sound comes on when i turn on the AC, if i have my AC off and i step on the accelerator the sound comes on again, if i let go of the accelerator the sound stops, but with the AC on it doesnt matter much if i even step on the accelerator it just makes the stupid sound.....

if its an 04 go take it to the dealership they will fix it for free.... no point in commin on here to try and diagnos a problem they will fix for free :thumb: tell us how it goes

yea so am very satisfied with the work they did, the only thing is that, the AC still sucks but from what ive read the AC power sucks on all 3s, so am stuck with that

BUT! they said they found no problem with my fuel pump??? whenever i refeul my car wont start, i have to keep at it and keep at it till it does..... :rolleyes: .....am hoping maybe that problem had to do with the service engine light soon which they did fixed, can anyone tell me in ENGLISH what that means, what was wrong with my service engine light soon???....anyways, well....i havent gone to refuel yet, but when i do i hope it doesnt do it again -_-, ive noticed that it does it most time only when i go under 1/4 tank of gas, anyone know why???
