Are there any honda automatic transmissions, that are built decent to handle some extra power?
If not, does anyone offer them aftermarket, or can they be built?
Just curious

i'd figure the only good autos for honda would be too cost prohibitive.
it's so cheap to do a 5 speed conversion. I'd just do 5 speed if I had an auto honda.

understood. Just curious, I was thinking of picking up an auto. The clutches in honda's feel so soft to me.

maybe stock clutches feel soft, but pedal feel doesnt equate to grip at all.

lately honda's trannty ARE GOING TO SHIT!
the new 03 accords/ odyssey/ pilot/ acura tl all had a lil share of problems w/ gears. just like 98-02 accords did and 99-03 tl/s acura. rsx having same problem. i dunno who the hell is stil in control of their r&d but they need to get their act straight.
i dunno if they are taking a positive step or if its an answer; honda has built a facility up near tennessee? JUST for transmissions. they will start with odyssey's as well as accords i think. so i think its one step forward maybe to counter this problem.
and ive heard that honda did not even manufacture our transmission for 6th gen accords. they gave the manufacturing process to an arizona company. correct me if im wrong.
but overall from what i know honda auto tranny's ARE NOT PERFECT!
the people started complaing about accord transmission problem and a company has offered to step up to rebuild OUR tranny w/ quality parts that result in 500whp holdage. but it costs $4000avg plus you send your stock tranny back to them and they send you their.s
