Can I run a higher final drive, say a 4.10 gear, on my otherwise stock drivetrain with out any adverse effect?

Besides worse gas mileage, would there be any negative mechanical effect on my car's stock drivetrain?

Im wondering if 4.10 is too aggressive for daily driving.

What do yall think?

For the modular Ford motors I don't think it's too much gear. It's really the only gear I would even bother with if I bought a mod mustang. How much freeway driving do you do?

That's a link of a 99 gt with 4.10 gears and exhaust in daily driving. It's a good post because there is a lot of discussion between people with different gears, so hopefully that helps with your decision..
