just a question...

if a car comes with forced induction stock

is it considered to be all motor?

cause i was reading this thing about lightnings running 11's all motor.

i didnt know disconnecting the supercharger was a common modification on lightnings.

im sorry, i dont know much about this can you clear it up?

so pyr's "all motor" race cars run superchargers?

weird...i didnt know that

all motor means no power adders. I dont know about the domestic side of this.

I believe he was trying to say that he doesn't spray the truck. I asked how much he was spraying in order to get into the 11's. Actually, domestics look at all motor as being NA (naturally aspirated). A blower, supercharger, and nitrous are not considered to be all motor. Most of them time if a car came from the factory with a power adder, they might not count it. However, it is still a forced induction car.

im only asking for the innocent purpose of technical discussion.

continue...thx :)

so is nitrous considered a power adder too? just liek a supercharger?

what if you have two power adders? is it not not not all motor? is there a term for that. discuss....

Of course nitrous is considered a power adder because you are forcing cold air/chemicals into the motor. Anything that uses a devise to add a large amount of air (forced induction) is considered a power adder. Nitrous works because you are adding an oxidizer and fuel into the same space. There is a chemical balance that allows to make more power.. thus being a power adder! :D

Yeah, "all motor" can have different meanings, depending on what your car had as original equipment. Of course, being NA means you're running all motor. However, some might consider it "all motor" if they had an FI setup stock, and didn't use additional power adders.

ok simple mans terms for this newbie....
if ya have nitrous your not all motor
if you have a supercharger your not all motor
if you have a turbo your not all motor
if you have them combined your definatly not allmotor.
even if they did come stock...
ya thats the day cars start coming factory with nitrous.. lol
