ok i have a DOHC ZC engine in my crx. new motor from hmotoronline.com. ive had the motor in the car for about a month in a half and the clutch is already slipping. its a brand new clutch, no doubt. i have a CRX si tranny. my friend that post up on the boards has asked me if there is any oil leaks anywhere. there is a oil leak cause of the valve cover gasket. he said the oil leaking from the valve cover may be sliding down into the transmission, onto the clutch, and preventing friction for the clutch. sounds like i need a new clutch. it was a stage one from exedy. but i doubt it cause it looked like a OEM replacement. i got it from ebay so we know how that goes. should i get a real exedy stage 1 clutch or just another OEM replacement? what pisses me off is that i had the motor for not that long and this brand new clutch is already slipping. :-/

ok i dont think you should listen to anything further your friend has to say lol. I would just buy a clutch masters stg 1 spend the extra cash its worth it..... and yes if its slipping then you need a new one. Did you properly break the clutch in.....

99% of the time the "stage 1 exedy" IS an OEM replacement. you need the Exedy organic race clutch if you want a performance one. All you bought was what honda sells for a lot less, and it sounds like if you can beat that up that fast you got some driving skills issues...

hahaha. no driving skill issues. i hardley race the car. its a daily driven car. i dont take my car out everyday and depend on beating the shit out of it. if i race, i race maybe only on wenesdays. i mean its awkward to have a clutch for such a short time and have it already slipping on you. im not stupid and im not some kid that buys a civic si and rags it out fresh off the lot. ive done the swap myself. even with a OEM clutch replacement it shouldnt do this. i have broken the clutch in 500 miles. this shit gets me thinking.
