View Full Version : RSX-S stock H's vs ZR rated potenzas
I bought ZR rated 205/50/16 for RSX-S
EVERYTHING is stock. :gonk:
Is it a bad idea to have these ZR tires on a complete bone-stock car?
I'm a noob here so please guide me gently

Hell no it isn't bad... though they may make slightly more noise, it's worth it.
What type of tire are they?
Brand?
Model?
Treadwear rating?
Traction rating?
Treadwear & traction rating can be found on the sidewall... it looks like this: Treadwear - 300 Traction - AA Temperature - A
^^^ That is the what the Yokohama AVS ES100s are in 225/50/16s
My Falken Azenis Sports are 200/A/A (the lower the treadwear, the softer compound the tire is...... typically)

NO THE STOCK RSX-S TIRES SUCK.... but next time buy 225.50.16's, they fit on the RSX-S stock wheel but are much fatter giving better traction....
Anyway back to your question, you did the right thing....

the only difference it should make is that the tires, most likely, will wear out a lot sooner than normal tires, but it's not too big of a deal.
Brand? Yokohama
Model? AVS ES100
Treadwear - 280
Traction - AA
Temperature - A
205/50/ZR16 87W
...is what it says. Thanks guys. These tires are great :thumb:
