I need to buy a new set up for my car since im back in town from College. Right now, I have OEM struts with Sportlines on a 98 civic. The ride quality is really rough through every bump and you get that hurting feeling when the car hits anything and everything. So I am looking for something that rides really nice without worrying about bumps/rough road. I was looking at the BASIC TEIN COILOVER setup or the ILLUMINA SERIES ADJUSTABLE COILOVER KIT BY TOKICO.
If you guys can help me out I would greatly appreciate it on what to get or if you guys have any recommendations that would help too. I don’t want all this performance stuff for track, just something that rides great all around.
Coilover's is what I want since I can adjust height and tune the suspension to where I want it. If there is any place in Houston yall would recommend me going I would like that too. Thanks guys/gals.

a softly dampened and sprung coilover would be your best bet for ride quality and handling... Tein's lower end coilovers are pretty soft I think. I would look around online for good deals on those before trying anywhere locally. Internet = god when it comes to buying just about anything...

I've heard good things about Omni-power street coilovers, and the price can't be beat.

they are also retarded stiff, and you feel everything in the road.
civic boi: get some new struts, urs are blown. the eibach sportlines have a great ride, as long as they are on good struts.

i heard the tein basics were still pretty stiff, and since you dont have damper adjustability, you have to live with it :-/
but then again, teh degree of stiffness is all relative to what the driver is used to.

JIC FLTA2 will rock your sox. :kekegay:
My brother has the Tein Basic on his DA and compared to his old shocks which were already bad, the Tein basic is a nice ride.
