steel belts

if i've got just the smallest bit if steel belt showing on one side of one of my tires in the rear of civic how long is it safe to drive on it, i cant afford new tires until about the 21st.

You might be able to last if you stay off the freeway as much as you can. But it also depends on where it is worn out on.

Chris has been driving around in his protege5 with steel belts showing on one tire for a good 2-3 months now. Not safe, i know but still should give you some comfort. Just dont worry about it. out of sight, out of mind. :thumb:

just check it every time u can to see if the belt show more, i drove for like 1 month it was ok, but kinda scary to go fast tho

id go buy a cheap, used tire if i were you, until you can afford a new one. tires arent something you should skimp out on, its the only thing connecting you with the road.
