The clutch on my teg is only a year old, and the car hasn't been dogged on. My problem is that the clutch pedal doesn't engage until it's almost all the way up. How do I fix that? It still drives fine and it doesn't really mess with anything, just makes it kind of a pain in the ass. Thanks

all the way up as in you barely have to press the pedal to disengage the clutch? is that a bad thing? should make for faster shifts. how about a pedal stop so you dont press the clutch all the way in every time.

it would make for faster shifts if i were racing i guess, but i'm not trying to dog on this car, not yet atleast. that clutch stop sounds like a pretty good idea, thanks.

you should be able to adjust the pedal movement. Take a look at how the pedal assembly is made and you should see how to adjust it.
I'm not very familiar with the cable clutches, but you may also be able to adjust the cable under the hood.

Clutch Master Cylinder plate. It has something to do with your hydraluics in the clutch. Its actually a known issue if you look on Honda bullentins. I know the EXACT SAME THING happened to me a few months ago. Took it to a shop and they fixed it for about $80.

His clutch is not hydraulic.
Do you have any free play in the clutch pedal (pushing the clutch pedal with no resistance until you hit resistance)? Now go under the hood and find the clutch release arm and cable connected to it. You will see a black arm (clutch release arm) with the cable connected to it in the front of the transmission. It's a little hidden, but you should see it. The arm should have free play and the cable should be able to be wiggled some. If the arm is not able to be moved then the clutch cable is too tight. There is a knob you will see at the bracket for the cable on the tranny. Turn it until the proper freeplay in the arm is met.
Spec on the pedal freeplay: 19/32-25/32
Spec on the release arm: 5/32-13/64
If you can't get it I should be out at the Cy-fair meet thursday and I'll help you out. Ill be in a forest green DA and the name is Drew. :thumb:
