Okay, 2 questions: 1.Will a S14 diff fit onto a S13?
(this is sort of ghetto)2.How well does a welded diff work compared to LSD?

reliability, not for a street driven car unless you've got some shit tires. I'm not sure about cross compatibility, because S14 diff covers and S13 diff covers are different. The S14 can be made to fit in an S13 with the existing S13 cover. Someone who knows for sure please chime in.

s13, s14, j30, 300zx n/a, r32 gts diff's will all bolt up perfectly to either of the cars listed. If your swapping any of these diffs into an s13, yuou must use your stock s13 rear diff cover. Its not hard to swap out. As for output shaft bolt pattern's.... thats a different story.

Yes, There's a little more involved then just swapping the covers. You will need washers to shim and may need to swap drive shafts as well. The bolt hole thickness is diferent. on the support holes and the drive shaft is a count hair shorter lots of people run it that way but why not do it the wright way.:thumb:
