Brembo Blanks... What is the advantage to having these rather than just any other rotor. I am a n00b so please educate me. :thumb:

they are vented, which means air can go through the rotors to cool them off faster, and also lighter

All STOCK front rotors are vented :roflmao:

Many (if not most) cars have solid rear rotors.

They can probably handle higher operating temperatures better than stock rotors without contributing to brake fade.

I'm thinking about going with Brembo blanks and some serious pads, non-street recommended pads. :thumb:

I have the Brembo Blanks with Axxis pads... Awsome stopping power but a little dusty... but the blanks... dont really see a real diff.. if any... just like the name and rotors where getting thin after being cut a couple of times already... GOOD LUCK!!!

the brembo blanks are just slightly higher quality than the autozone/o'reilly brands. they are more comparable to the quality of an OEM rotor.

Brake rotors are a wear item, so some ppl choose not to spend that much on it. But if you want improve braking pwer, spend more on a good set of pads ( like PBR Ultimates/ Hawk Hp). The difference is felt more if you have good pads than having good rotors. Also, which ever rotor you decide to buy, never wash your wheels when the rotors are still piping hot, they will warp very quickly that way.

also the more agressive pad = less pad life
other than that jsEM16 could not have said it better
brakes are like tires stickey = short life
not stickey = long life
