What kind of nitrous setup should i look into buying if I'm hoping to hit low 14's and i'm currently running 15.3 @ 90? I'd assume this would be a wet shot.

Would you go wet? or would you just stick simple with a dry shot? is 75 hp too much for a dry shot?

i would look at the zex or venom systems...great no hassle kits for the beginner

i would only go nx or nos if you were going to get a shop to put together a fogger system. more $$$ but you better nitrous delivery and mixture.

I would think a 100 shot would get the job done :thumb:

Depending on the design of your intake manifold I would normally prefer the wet shot but you have too remember the wet shot is going to deliver fuel w/ the nitrous in witch case you could have a problem with fuel pooling in the intake and could lead to blowing off a intake mani. The zex kit is a very safe way to put nitrous on your car and would be my recommendation.

Too answer your question a 50 shot should put you in the 14s and 75 will put you pretty deep in the 14s and a 100 shot should put you in the upper 13s

I'd defiantely go wet. But dry kits are fine too.

SC400 is a V-8 correct? You could probably put 100 shot dry easily.

could you describe your engine a little to me, im not firmiliar with the sc400's other than the few i see in my rearview ;) im lookin for displacement, power band, redline, auto/manual? things of that nature.

personally, to do it right, universally i would get

a 5177 NOS kit (setup for an LS1 F-Body, so you get 2 noids)
2 staged window switch (MSD makes a good setup for this)
FPSS
purge isnt really necessary, i've never used one
you dont really need a bottle heater, you could do a nitrogen push, which is more reliable in my opinion, but its setup is complicated to some.

basically, i would go do a baseline dyno run, see where your torque begins to trickle off and remember it. go route the 1st noid and set it up for a 50shot and have it kick on around 3000rpm (you want to avoid torque spiking, its what will ruin a motor, hence the window switch) go dyno and find out where the torque falls off again. (lets say 4500 its dropping) set up your 2nd noid for a 75 shot and have it kick on a few hundred RPM before the torque drops. this should help you keep maximum acceleration in every gear, a good flat torque curve is the goal.

PART 2:

now my personal suggestion as to what should be done with the car, you have the MPH to trap mid/low 14's as you sit right now (my 3600lb laser went 13.8 @ 93 w/ 1.7 60')

work on your suspension, such as adjutable shocks for the front to help transition weight to the rear tires. also look at your tires, look into a set of drag radials, such as the new mickey thompson's. from a personal standpoint, i would utilize every bit of power you have rather than being inefficient and adding more power.

I'm not familiar with the Toyota V8, do they have ECU reprogramming here in the states? I think something as small as an 80 shot dry system augmented with computer controlled fuel enrichment will help you achieve your goal.

That and some lightweight wheels.

its easy to hit high 13s coming from your 15.3 with a nx wet 75 shot. I went from 15.3@ 95 to 13.8 @104 and that was on 18s. Just be sure to spray after 3k so you dont spin and its very attainable
